Amanda has a strong ambition to make a difference and to leave an impact on the lives’ of others. As the President of her class for the last four years, Amanda has made sure her class is always busy. She has organized her class fundraisers and events and has helped raise thousands of dollars for the local soup kitchen, “Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen. She founded “Hailey’s Project as a freshman at Chicopee High School. A friend and fellow classmate who suffers from Mitochondrial Disorder and has spent considerable amounts of time in the hospital over the years inspired this project. The project’s goal is to make a child’s stay at the hospital more pleasant. Raising thousands of dollars to purchase games, toys and videos for Shriners Hospital and Baystate Children’s Hospital. Amanda states, “This is one of my finest undertakings.” Amanda is also the Co-President of the International Club. She organized a bottled water drive for victims of the local tornado, raising money for the earthquake victims in Haiti, and visits children at the Ronald McDonald House. It is evident that Amanda is constantly trying to make a difference. We thank her for her tremendous fundraising efforts and know that Amanda will continue to make a difference in the lives of others as she pursues her dream of studying Biomedical Engineering and a career in Dentistry.
