The Boston Junior Terriers 2011 Peewee Major team led a fundraising effort in the Fall to raise money for a winter tournament in Nashville, TN. The boys sold raffle tickets for Ryan Donato autographed gear that Ryan had kindly signed for the team over the summer. As the team set out on their fundraising efforts, they decided to donate one third of their proceeds to charity. The team’s home rink is the Mark Bavis rink and the Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation was a natural choice for their donation. The boys worked hard to sell all of their tickets – reaching out to family and friends and going door to door in neighborhoods and the Derby Shoppes. In total the boys raised $6,000 and were able to donate $2,000 to the Foundation. The boys were very proud of their hard work and their ability to give back to the local community.
