2020 Recipient
Kylee’s passion and giving spirit grow out of a very personal story. As a young child, she knew the meaning of food insecurity, often going hungry. This experience led her to create a non-profit, Kylee’s Kare Kits for Kidz, at just ten years old. With her grandmother’s aid, she began to feed kids in grades K-12 in her community over the weekends, when school meals were not available. Soon she realized that these same students needed access to food during all school breaks including the summer. Her mission has expanded to provide food during those breaks while also hosting school supply and holiday gift drives to address other needs of area families
In addition to her local service, Kylee has participated in several service missions, traveling to Houston, TX, the Dominican Republic, and the Philippines to assist communities following natural disasters. We are honored to present Kylee with a Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation Scholarship and wish her the best as she continues her studies at Bentley University.
