2016 Recipient
Ngoc Ngo of Worcester is a hard working service oriented individual who has maintained high academic standing while volunteering in her school and community. Her charitable activities include coaching tennis with Tenacity, assisting at the Worcester Public Library and representing her school, South High Community, in Louisiana at an environmental and leadership conference.
As co-president of the Goddard Scholars Club, Ngoc had the opportunity to expose high school students from diverse backgrounds to colleges and universities right in our own backyard. She has organized informational student tours to Harvard, MIT, BU, and Northeastern to educate her peers about the admissions process and show them what is within their reach.
In addition, Ngoc participated in a program called N-CITE, working over 200 hours on a documentary for the Worcester community focusing on self-acceptance and positivity. We admire Ngoc for her self-less nature and wish her the best as she continues her education at Hamilton College this fall.
