Liana Winans

Liana has always been passionate about the environment. As a high school student, she volunteered at the Massachusetts Audubon Education Center in Newburyport as a Teen Naturalist. Liana and three classmates created the Climate Awareness Club which is geared towards improving the environment. Their efforts have streamlined the recycling system and implemented biodegradable water containers for the school vending machines. Liana has been instrumental in raising funds to support mothers in need of baby supplies by starting a Students for Life Group. During Liana’s senior year she was Captain of the cross-country team. She will be attending Boston College in the fall.
